Workshop: Microclimates of Tallinn

KLOTS next project is a workshop in Tallinn called “Microclimates of Tallinn”. Workshop takes place from 16th May to 21st May with maximum 10 participants. Workshop’s aim is to build with the help of the Arduino board 5 different environmental sensors that are connected with internet through free WIFI-networks. Sensors are placed in five different areas of Tallinn city and send after the workshop for three months enivormental data to central server. All the collected data will be used in the next workshop called “Data Visualization with Processing”, held in September 2010 at Plektrum Festival. More info soon!

“GESTURES” @ Plektrum 2009

“Gestures” was a workshop and installation of Plektrum Festival that experimented building interactive projects using Wii-controllers and Processing. The workshop lasted for six days, installation was put together of four different projects:

Mikk Meelak „Space Invader“ / Legendary Space Invader programmed from the start to play it with Wii-controller.
Manuel Kostka „Noise & Geometry“ / Moving Wii-controller and pressing buttons changed visuals and sound.
Mart Mangus „Random“ / Moving Wii-controller changed visuals and created various noise.
Epp Kubu „Sentences“ / Wii-controller controlled the sentences that were represented and the voices in the background.

All the participators were almost beginners and used Processing for the first time. Workshop was carried out by Stefan Kainbacher from Austria. Installations were build up by Stefan Kainbacher, Herkko Labi and Emer Värk.
